The Ghana Oil Club members come from a variety of disciplines: commercial, technical, academic and legal, but all share a common ground as professionals with interest in Ghana’s Petroleum and Energy Sectors. Active membership in the GOC is available to corporations and individuals engaged in, or who have an interest in and or engaging in, Petroleum and Energy upstream and downstream activities. The purpose is to create a national forum for active engagement and discussions on the technical, legal, economic, industrial, technological and policy aspects of petroleum and other energy resources.

We are also actively engaged in capacity building, forward thinking about the future of the Oil and Gas and Energy industry in Ghana, and providing access to resources and educational materials.
We create avenues for regular membership engagement and meetings, this involves regular key note speaker series sessions by international experts and specialists. Members also get the opportunity to engage in lively discussions not just during our meeting but also on a daily basis as a result of membership on our email service. We also provide regular networking sessions where members can meet and wind down after long work days.

The founders thought it necessary that such a forum was needed as a tool for creating an industry on like-minded individuals; but also as the Country joins others as an oil exporting nation, it was deemed appropriate to have a forum for the regular networking and sharing of ideas for the growth of the industry and of the Country.

The Ghana Oil Club (also known as GOC) is a non-profit organization and a credible forum for petroleum and energy discussion with key membership spanning not just Ghana but Africa and the World. Our membership comprises oil and gas E&P and service companies, power companies and investors, lawyers, the financial sector , traders, academics and consultants.
