Shearwater are currently working offshore The Gambia after they were awarded a 3D Isometrix seismic acquisition project by FAR Gambia Ltd. The project is to provide new seismic over a shallow-water area and connect with existing seismic to provide full coverage of the A5 Block. This represents their second project in the MSGBC Basin after working at the world-class Sangomar field directly to the north in Senegal.

2020 is set to be a huge year for West Africa as FID was taken on the $4.2 Billion USD Sangomar development in Senegal by Woodside & its partners, PETROSEN have launched their 1st offshore licencing round offering 12 blocks in Senegal and President Weah of Liberia used his Third State of the Nation Address in the capital Monrovia to launch a licensing round for nine offshore blocks in the unexplored Harper Basin, which is to open in April.
